Kay Park and of course the Dean
Castle Country Park, a place to be marvelled with
scenic nature trails, Castle tours detailing the history
of the castle and Kilmarnock, pet corner and adventure
playground. Another Kilmarnock marvel, just a stone's
throw away from the Silverdale development is The
Dick Institute Library which not only boasts an exhaustive
book collection but is also home to a stunning collection
of artefacts and has a gallery open to the public
where not only museum pieces are displayed but local
up-and-coming writers and artists can also display
their pieces.

No mention of Kilmarnock could be complete without
reference to Scotland's Bard - Rabbie Burns. This
brilliant man takes his place proudly and unashamedly
among the greatest poets and thinkers the world has
ever seen and Kilmarnock has the proud record of publishing
his first works in the Kilmarnock Edition'.
Kilmarnock is now a hub of activity with the development
of light manufacturing industries and industrial estates
springing up in and around the town, making Kilmarnock
the main industrial centre of Ayrshire.
